Sherrin Baky-Nessler and William Nessler
Providing for the future of Lankenau Medical Center
Having developed an early interest in the medical field, Sherrin Baky-Nessler was excited to learn that she had been accepted by Lankenau Medical Center into its medical technology program after graduating from college. Due to extenuating circumstances, Sherrin was unable to attend, but during her multi-year career in monitoring clinical trials, she had the opportunity to visit Lankenau to review these studies being conducted by her employers and kept current with Lankenau’s growth and influence.
Upon her relocation to the area, Sherrin began her personal involvement with Lankenau as a member of the Women’s Board and John B. Deaver Auxiliary, helping with fundraising activities. Sherrin has noted that this has been a highly rewarding experience and strengthened her long-standing desire to “give back” and contribute even further to the community. In addition to volunteering on the Women’s Board, Sherrin has also been a patient and recognizes how important it is to support the institution’s top-notch clinical staff and facilities. Sherrin decided to include Lankenau in her estate planning – as a beneficiary of both her will and an IRA – so that she can help provide for its successful future. Lankenau’s progression to becoming one of the most distinguished medical centers in the area—and the nation—has been made possible by many generations of friends and benefactors.
